Matt Isbister
Matt offers simple financial solutions that puts you and your goals first. While established brokerage and investment styles can often feel transactional, Matt’s friendly approach makes it easy to open up about your plans.
Matt has over 20 years’ experience in finance, including safely navigating his clients through the 1998 and 2008 recessions in New Zealand. He started his career at National Bank, before moving to ASB as a Mortgage Lender, later becoming the National Sales Manager leading a team of Financial Advisers for ANZ. He then moved to the South Island and joined SBS, firstly as Regional Manager and lastly, National Manager Mobiles and Alliances.
Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and Management from Lincoln University in 1997, and gained a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from Massey University in 2012, with an endorsement in Personal Financial Planning. In 2016 he was authorised by the Financial Markets Authority to provide financial advice.
A proud Wellingtonian, Matt now lives in Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, working with clients from all over New Zealand. Before meeting his wife and having their two lovely daughters, he lived all over the world including Iran, Singapore and New Zealand.

Janet Isbister
Janet steps back into Isbister Partners with a focus on our customer’s and on compliance. She has been referred to as the “back end of the business”, but with a human touch, keeping our customer’s happy and the business compliant.
She comes from a role leading a high performing team of branch staff at the TSB in Tauranga. She loves working closely with customers, taking time to get to know them, working through options, and helping them to achieve their goals. There’s no one that cares more about people than Janet.
Janet has had a varied career. Graduating from University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and Anthropology, she then went to Japan to teach English. Studying anthropology helped her to gain a greater understanding of why people do the things they do. This has been invaluable when leading people, running a business and working with customers. She has over 10 years finance experience, working both in residential and business banking.
Outside of work, Janet loves spending time with her family and friends. Sport and exercise have always been a big part of Janet’s life. She has recently taken up mountain biking and is learning to surf. She also enjoys traveling and the odd glass of wine.

Kylie Chandler
I am a financial professional with over 10 years of experience both in the banking industry and as a Mortgage Adviser. I bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a proven record of delivering exceptional customer service.
I’m committed to putting you first to make sure the journey to buying your first home or second home, refinance, or top-up is as smooth and seamless as possible. I am also able to assist you with your business funding needs and personal loan requirements.

Graham Duston
Graham holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics and Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Otago University. He has over 35 years of investment management and financial services experience. Graham has previously held roles as CEO of SBS Wealth and the Lifestages KiwiSaver Scheme and as General Manager New Zealand for ANZ Funds Management and ANZ life. He has also held senior management positions with Tower Trust Services and Armstrong Jones.
Graham is an avid reader and enjoys exercising, travel and art. Graham is also interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI) especially where and how humans interact with AI, now and into the future.

Del Smith
Del brings over 25 years of experience in financial services, with a career spanning global institutions, including Lloyds Bank UK, as well as a leading New Zealand bank. Her background includes roles in premium banking, investment consulting, and financial advice, giving her a well-rounded and practical approach to helping clients make confident decisions about their KiwiSaver, investments, and long-term savings.
Originally from Rotorua and now based in Tauranga, Del is passionate about helping Kiwis navigate financial challenges and achieve meaningful goals. She is committed to building strong, lasting relationships and making finance feel clear, simple, and accessible.
Outside of work, Del enjoys travelling, meeting new people, staying active with Reformer Pilates, and keeping her husband on his toes.

Originally from Germany, Patricia has made the Bay of Plenty home with her husband and two children. As an active family, there is always something on the go — from the kids’ sports and family activities to enjoying the beautiful outdoors and connecting with the local community.
Patricia comes from a fast-paced service industry and business background, where she developed strong problem-solving skills, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping people. She also understands the home-buying journey personally, having gone through the process of buying her first home in New Zealand.

Known for her caring, down-to-earth approach, Jacqui enjoys building positive relationships and providing friendly, reliable support to people from all walks of life.
Outside of work, she loves staying active, spending time outdoors, and enjoying quality time with her children. Originally from Taranaki, she now proudly calls Papamoa home.
